We are pleased you wish to participate in the AWG pilot mentoring program! Enrollment begins October 26, 2007 and we anticipate opening the selection process in early 2008.

Before registering, please read about our registration and assignment process for matching volunteer mentors with members requesting a mentor. Then click on the registration link at the bottom of this page.

• The information you provide in your registration will be used in two ways. 1. Information about your experience and educational background will be put into a profile that can be viewed by program participants, and 2. Personal information including your name, phone, address, email, and the name of your company will be restricted to the AWG program staff.
• If your email address is on file with our AWG database you will receive confirmation of your registration within an hour or so of your submission. If the system does not recognize your email address, then you will receive confirmation within a couple of days.
• Your registration confirmation will include a username and password that will allow you to view or edit all of your registration information and to view the way in which your profile is displayed for other registered participants in the AWG program.
• Your username and password will also allow you to access the AWG mentoring resources area of the website and the materials available to all participants.
• If you are requesting a mentor, you will receive an email when we are able to begin the selection process. We anticipate that will be the beginning of the new year when we have sufficient enrollment of mentors to begin.
• If you are volunteering to mentor, you will be contacted when your profile has been selected as a possible mentor. At that time you will be asked to review the profile and inform AWG about your willingness to accept the assignment.
• AWG will make the assignment and provide both participants with personal contact information. It will be the mentee’s responsibility to make the initial contact with the mentor.
• Once a month, AWG will contact the mentoring partners. Our hope is to provide you with useful suggestions and pointers to extra mentoring resources. Once or twice during the year, AWG will ask for a brief update.
• Although all mentoring relationships are different, we anticipate the AWG mentoring relationship will last approximately one year. We understand that the length of your mentoring relationship will be determined by your goals and the ways in which you can work together to meet those goals. All participants will be asked to inform AWG when the mentoring relationship has ended.
• AWG is currently accepting registration from volunteer mentors and from members seeking mentors. We will notify registrants when we have sufficient mentors in order to begin the matching process .
